Growing up us kids, we would rather want pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and parrots. The thought of having pets from the predator family never crossed our minds. However dangerous they may seem, predators are wonderful creatures we can all learn from.

The tiger is one of the most beautiful predators in the cat species. They are ancient Chinese animal symbol for dignity, ferocity, sternness, courage and protection. Tiger have a warm and pleasant nature that we as humans can learn from.

Territorial in nature, tigers define their territory, defend and compete with others who try to invade their territory. What does this teach us as humans? What have we desired so much and sought to achieve? Do we just allow our dreams to slip through our fingers? Or do we fight for it against all odds? Let’s defend our territory. Maybe you have an extra-ordinary skill, but remember that others may also have it. You have to work hard to establish yourself in your field. When you define your territory it would be difficult for others to take over from you even if they have similar skills.

Tigers are solitary and in nature. By being solitary in nature, they interact briefly, only for mating purposes and occasionally to share their kill. Do have the drive to succeed? How many times do you isolate yourself and plan strategic moves towards achieving your goal? Are you always in groups among friends chatting about irrelevant issues, partying non-stop and whiling away precious time? Then be like the tiger. It’s good to have friends purposely to share brilliant ideas with and focus on a positive relationship one that will bring betterment and improvement.

Nocturnal by nature, tigers only hunt at night and less during the mid-day. How can we learn from this? True, humans are not nocturnal by nature but aren’t we getting too much sleep? Sleep is good for the body and it helps us to stay in shape. However too much of sleep may be harmful to your success. Remember as your whiling away in sleep, others are up achieving great feats. Remember “if your dream does not scare you then it’s not big enough”. Work hard, utilize time others would waste.

Appearance is a vital part of human life. Your appearance speaks loads about you. Tigers are animals but keep themselves neat always. They use their tongues to remove loose hair and dirt in their fur. This keeps their coats in good and prefect condition. Do we care about our appearance? Let’s learn from tigers.

Be daring, dare to do what others are not doing. Unlike other cat species who do not associate with water, tigers are great swimmers. They enter water to cool and also in pursuit of a prey. How bad do you want to achieve your goal? Be like the tiger, dare to achieve. Don’t let obstacles hinder your path to success. Be different.

Female tigers, are very protective of their cubs. How protective are you of your children? Not just your children but all children across the world? Do we think about how the decisions we make today can affect the lives of the unborn generation? Be like the tiger, protect the young ones.

We are all one. Let’s coexist peaceful with everyone, turn a blind eye to stratification and deal peaceful and justly with everyone. Tigers coexist with other predators though for a short period due their nocturnal nature. Be like tiger advocate for peace.

tiger of different and colors coexisting.

Finally, let’s be gentle to animals. Tigers are wonderful creates we can learn from. They are however some people whom for selfies reasons are killing these beautiful creatures and making them go extinct. Let’s protect animals, we have a lot to learn from them.
